Advantages: Graphics, spider-pig,

Disadvantages: Storyline, doom and gloom feeling, predicitibility

The Simpsons movie isn't what it should be. You'd expect lots of comedy and the including of a lot more characters. Not some lecture on how to save the environment and most of the film to have a doom and gloom feeling with a very predictable ending.

The storyline is very simple, one of Homer's clumsy wrong doings causes the government to class Springfield as the most contaminated states in America despite all Lisa's efforts to turn the state of Springfield around. Because of Homer, the government decides to place a giant glass dome over the state of Springfield, stopping anybody from escaping. Homer is then found out about his wrong doings and he gets confronted by an angry mob. Then Homer, Marge, Bart, Maggie and Lisa escape through a sinkhole and a few arguments and predictable bike rides later, they find themselves in Alaska. Whilst in Alaska they hear of the governments next plans for Springfield. To blow it up. Marge and the kids quickly get there act together and tell Homer they are going back to save Springfield. Homer refuses to go at first and it is only when his family go and he is left watching his wedding video, he realises he loves Marge and he too goes back to save Springfield and inevitably . . . he does.

The good points about the film would be the graphics and spider pig.
The bad points would be the predictability, the government influenced storyline and the doom and gloom feeling about the film which is totally different to the rest of the Simpsons series which are usually very comical.

Conclusion, not a bad effort but it leaves you with the feeling that they could have done more with it
