What an original childrens film this one is,in fact i dont want to call it a childrens film as i loved it.It unravels like a fairy tale with a family moving to a new house and from the beggining i felt it would be good but i had no i dea how good.What hit me about this film is the wonderful use of colour it gets better and better and then when you think thats it you meet the wonderful puppets that interact with the children to make a wonderful film.
I actually watched this two days in a row i thought it was that good.
The cast is also another wonderful part of the film, nick nolte playing the bad guy and andrew mccarthy playing the lead,i would recomend this for people who have enjoyed films like the labryinth and arthur and the invisables.
I would recomend not renting it but going straight out to buy it ,a bonus for any collection
