Note: "The Story of Maths" is in the wrong category (my fault, I didn't notice the right one when suggesting it), it should be under 'TV Program' - can I get it changed? How? The Story of Maths is a 4-part co-production between the BBC and The Open University. The title of the series accurately describes what it is about - how mathematical ideas and solutions to problems developed, and who was responsible. It is presented by Marcus du Sautoy, a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford, who you will probably have seen before if you watch pop science programmes quite often - he delivered the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures in 2006 and ... The story of maths was a great series aired upon BBC4 late last year, as a novice to mathematics, it introduced concepts and ideas, linking them historically that has done nothing but invigorate my passion for mathematics. This programme has single handedly filled me with enthusiasm for mathematics. This is due to the ease of understanding I have, thanks to Marcus Du Sautoy's good style, presenting ideas and concepts clearly and in a way which is understandable.
