Plot:
Christina Walters (Diaz) is the ultimate party girl. She doesn't want Mr Right, but Mr Right Now. Every guy in San Francisco has a story to tell about her. The ultimate man eater she uses them and throws them away - sobbing to camera. She lives with her lawyer friend Courtney (Applegate) and love-obsessed Jane (Blair.) When Jane gets dumped by her latest fella the girls decide to go out on the pull to forget about him.
At the club Christina meets Peter, her dream man, who is only in town for a stag night. When she realises he might be the one drives across the country to see him again. As she turns up at the wedding she realises it wasn't his brothers big day, but Peters she had crashed.

DVD extras:
As this is quite an old release in DVD terms it doesn't have that many options. The two featurettes are quite good giving an insight into the single girls mind. The trailers and biography sections are pretty bog standard stuff too.

Overview:
This sounds like a chick flick, and that is because it is. Every guy I know who has seen this has been absolutely mortified. If Sex and the City was filmed in their 20s I'm sure it would be this film.
There are truly some laugh out loud 'gross out' parts to this film. There is a very funny bit with a stain on a dress, a large elephant, a toilet and a wayward piercing.
There are also some rather random bits in too which were cut when I saw this recently on tv - mainly a song about big dicks!
The story is predictable enough, but the route it takes is anything but.
The relationship between the three girls is what makes this film so believable - and as a girl myself I know I have done and said some of the things they have (some mind - not all!)
As you would expect this isn't a stretch for Diaz but she puts in a good performance as the arrogant, slightly neurotic lead.
Applegate puts in a good turn too, but the star of the film is without a doubt Selma Blair - who is the butt of most of the jokes. In particular the piercing scene - I can't listen to "I don't wanna miss a thing" by Aerosmith without thinking of this film.
The guys in it aren't great, but Peters brother (played by Jason Bateman) has some of the funniest lines in the film - including one about anal leakage.
I wasn't really sure what to expect when I got this film but I was quite suprised. If American Pie met Sex and the City this would be the result. If you are female and at a loose end (and not easily offended) I would advise this film.
