THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX is a children's animation movie directed by Rob Steven hagen and released in 2008. The film centres around Despereaux, a small mouse and his friend a rat called Roscuro galavanting around Dor for adventures as they are banished for having lofty ambitions. They end up on a mission to save a princess in danger. Despereaux's mission is to become a knight by saving the Princess. However along the way they come up against many hazards which put their quest in jeopardy and from here the film focuses on whether Despereaux can become a hero. Computer graphics have dominated the cartoon film market ever since Woody and Buzz decided to go to infinity and beyond. In the wake of 'Toy Story' we have seen several classic CGI film like 'Shrek' and 'Wall-e'. Unfortunately, we have also had many awful films that have tried to milk the trend for all its worth including 'Barn Yard' and 'Over the Hedge'. Not only are the majority of CGI film now mediocre, but they have killed off the classic animation.
