I wasn't too keen on seeing this film when I looked at the box, but was eventually persuaded to watch it by my mum and I actually really enjoyed this film and see it as one of my favourite films! I am normally into more action or war type films, but this is nothing like this and is very different to the norm for me but yet still a great film and worth a watch. Having never watched the original Thomas Crown Affair, I don't feel that I can compare the two fairly. Directed by John McTiernan (Die Hard), it was his first adventure into this genre as far as I am aware. This film though, made in 1999 is one of my new favourites! Not too disimilar from Oceans 11, 12 and 13, it's a cool as a cucumber theft of a valuable item movie! In this case, the item is a priceless Monet.
