This month there’s a competition in the Movies category – those who write the best reviews in March will be rewarded with lots of extra miles. So why not have a go? This is a review of the MGM DVD. Made in 1970, this is one of Hammer’s more memorable attempts to appeal to a more demanding audience. For over ten years its horror films, featuring plenty of blood and cleavage, had done pretty well, but in the wake of more explicit films that were emerging from America and Europe, Hammer had to change or die.
