... It's always the decent illegal immigrants that get deported, or, at least, that's the message of this rather serious and lop-sided low budget from the U.S. In the U.K., of course, the system is the exact opposite, human rights lawyers set up to help those immigrants who got here illegally and want to stay, what ever their misdemeanours or situation, rather than help those who go through the legal process from their country of origin to get British residency. The process is now all about the Foreign and Home Office exploiting hard cash out of genuine people who can afford to migrate, ironically encouraging illegal immigration in the process and so ... Note: originally written for my review website, ShaunMunro.co.uk! ~~~ Richard Jenkins has gradually crept up the Hollywood ladder over recent years - propelling himself to fame in Alan Ball's excellent HBO drama Six Feet Under, and turning in a slew of solid character roles since, Jenkins finally finds himself breaking the glass ceiling with The Visitor, establishing himself as a viable leading man. It is not entirely convincing that Walter allows ... Read the complete review

Shortly her boyfriend Tarek (Haaz ... Read the complete review

Won several awards, I believe The visitor is one good movie to be watched. The unique storyline about love and loneliness, The Visitor made me falling in love with the story the first time I watched this movie. An old professor lost the passion in his life after the death of his wife. He live alone in the other city, teaching the same sylabus for years, failed to play the piano- the only thing that he would like to do. When he had to go to a convention in the home town he found out that someone has lived in his house. Two illegal immigrants lived there together. When the couple wanted to leave the apartment, this professor asked them to stay for a while until ... Read the complete review
