Frank Jones is very proud of his son, Bob, who has managed to hold on to his job as a GCHQ translator during the economic troubles of the eighties. Bob, however, is less sure that he wants the job - he suspects that something is afoot in his organisation that could have serious repercussions for the world at large. Then Bob is found dead, having apparently thrown himself from the top of his apartment building.
