Advantages: Excellent dialogue

Disadvantages: Too many loose ends

As a casual viewer of the X-Files TV series I was a bit sceptical about going to see this movie. I assumed there would be a lot of things that you already needed to know about the show before you could watch the film. Gladly, I was wrong. The X-Files Movie is a very good stand-alone film.

If you know anything about The X-Files you'll know what to expect from the film, lots of conspiracies. The conspiracies used in the film are hardly original, but the excellent dialogue in the movie makes that fact inconsequential.

People with a low attention span will soon loose interest so it could be argued that the film moves along too slowly, but if this applies to you, you really shouldn't watch any films of this ilk.

The aspect I least like about the film is the large number of loose ends left at the end, but I suppose this is exactly what the X-Files is all about.

It's those loose ends that get me everytime.
