This is a very cheap looking movie with a cast of unknowns (apart from 1 chap soap fans might recognise as being former Eastenders character Dr Legg, Leonard Fenton in his blink and you'll miss it role in the newsroom fairly near the start of the movie), its a British movie with a 1st time director (which is painfully obvious from the disjointed way the various sections of the movie are cut, its probably done to try to seem clever & thoughtful when its merely annoying & seriously disjointed). The film is presented by way of various video camera diaries giving the director an excuse to shoot a lot of handheld camera work which is annoying and difficult ... Read the complete review

Hmmmmm, well I love movies with the word Zombies in the title, generally you can't beat a good laugh of the dead coming back to life to annoy all those living, whether the movie is trying to be serious, a horror, or just a comedy. With the idea of Zombies, it is just so hard to mess it up, afterall , all you do is have a group of people trying to survive, lots of zombies out for food, chuck in a few shotguns and you have to be seriously messed up to ruin the film. Well welcome to a movie where someone had a cool title, "The Zombie Diaries", they had zombies (although only for a short percentage of the film) they had shot guns, and then ... I'm struggling with how to describe this film; it is certainly not the worst I have seen many with a far larger budget would rank below it, but it is in no way good either. The original idea seems, on paper a good one. Shot from the point of view of someone documenting the disaster as it happens (from a number of varying perspectives) and pre-dates George A Romeros' diary of the dead, however the poor acting at the start of the film is a real let down, and there just aren't enough zombies for my ... if you are thinking about paying money to watch this film, i will tell you now: DO NOT. I found this film to be one of the worst films i have seen, and definitely the worst zombie film, and there are many many bad zombie films. The film is shown from 3 groups of peoples points of view, all filmed from video cameras. On the cover of the DVD, there was a quote saying "the most realistic zombie film made", and when i began watching, i agreed. The first group followed is some journalists, and their interviews seem very real, but the realisticness stops soon. The acting in the film is terrible, I never understand why acting can be so bad, as ... Read the complete review
