My daughter absolutely loves her films. Honestly, if its a choice between television shows and films, she will always pick a good film. Like most girls, she loves disney movies, most notably Frozen and Tangled. I'm going to be honest, so do i, but after watching them for what felt like the 100th time, enough was enough.
After browsing now tv for a while, I came across the tinkerbell series of films. I was never that struck with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, but i thought it was worth a try to see if she would enjoy it. This was the first time we watched Tinkerbell and the secret of the wings.
My little girl was entranced, and so was i. I'm going to try my very hardest to keep any spoilers to myself here! The storyline consists of two fairies who find out they're actually sisters but are from different worlds. I have to say, for a disney film it was quite emotional, and although its set in pixie hollow, if you took away the fairies and the setting, the storyline is very realistic.
The characters in the film were a great blend of different personalities, so no matter what your into, theres always one fairy who you can really relate to, which i thought was great.
The film itself was short and sweet, only lasting just over an hour, which meant it kept my daughters attention the entire way through, which i have to say is a first!
I'd definately recommend it for anyone who has a little girl in there life. Get some snacks and cuddle up on the sofa!
