One mistake I made was that I watched Titanic at home on video. Titanic was a movie to watch on the big screen. The special effects were great.

The film was a love story set on the titanic. It was a very well made film. Leonardo di Caprio and Kate Winslet play the leading role. They both did well as actors but the only thing that I didn't quite like was that Kate Winslet was a little too mature for Leonardo.

The film starts off where Rose played by Kate Winslet is quite old, in around her 80's. She remembers her time on the titanic and the film takes us bck to the actual time.

Kate Winslet comes from a well off family who hold a high status in society. Leonardo is poor. She is with the first class passengers, and he with the lower class passengers. They meet as Kate Winslet is on the deck thinking of committing suicide and Leonardo saves her. They become friends ad slowly fall in love with eachother, however there are two problems, firstly the class difference and secondly the fact that Kate Winslet's character is engaged.

The film goes on an shows how their love grows when suddenly the ship hits an iceberg. This is where the special effects slowly start coming in.

The ship start to sink and thereis water everywhere. The direction here is very good. This is my favourite part of the film,the way they show the water coming in is very good, and looks so real.

The ending of the film is very sad and can mae you cry so keep the tissue box near by. This film was very well made and so if you still haven't seen it, if theres anyone out there that hasn't, watch it you might like it.
