Tomcats is a romantic comedy film that was released in 2001. It is rated 15 due to strong language and sexual content and it is 91 minutes long. Plot The film starts off showing us a flashback of a group of friends at a wedding. When each one states that they will always remain single, the group of friends make a bet to see who will be the last standing bachelor. 'Tomcats' is another in the recent trend of 'gross-out' style comedies, films that push back the boundaries of good taste in order to make the audience laugh. Although I have greatly enjoyed many entries in this sub genre, such as 'American Pie', and even 'Dude, Where's My Car?’ 'Tomcats' left me cold. It is a lazy, calculated attempt to cash in on the success of similar films, without any of their inventiveness or charm. One day I was walking through the lobby in my local cinema when I saw a poster for a movie called ‘Tomcats’. The poster looked a bit strange, well actually one thing that made me think that it was the new American pie was the fact that there was a picture of a woman in underwear. Well I have to say months later, after reading an opinion on ciao I really felt like seeing this movie as it seemed like my kind of thing. I absolutely adore comedies and everyone I know, knows it!
