Crowned Review Tommy Boy (DVD): A Tribute To A Legend (1906 words)

It's hard to decide which I like best: real cheese, or just cheesy things. I love both, you see. Edam, and The A-Team. Cheddar, and 80's style power metal. Gorgonzola. Supermarket Sweep. But despite my indecision, I'm comfortable in knowing I love both, and that both are readily available to me should I crave them. Our local Safeway’s has an excellent range of dairy products, at reasonable prices too, so that's the cheese covered. And as for cheesy things, well, that brings me nicely onto my video collection. You see, there was a point. Maybe it's just me, sub-concisely dealing with a deep-rooted inferiority complex (I'm ...  Read the complete review

I've never seen a movie as funny as Tommy Boy. Literally. With great one-liners from "I'd better not. I have what doctors call a little bit of a weight problem. I used to grab bear claws as a kid, two at a time, and I'd get them lodged right in this region here" to "Right here. Not here or here so much. Right here. " This is good stuff. ==Overview== The late Chris Farley, star from Saturday Night Live stars in this hilarious comedy along with David Spade. This comedic team go on a car trip to try and drum up some sales for Tommy's (Chris Farley) late father's business. He is on a mission to save the company by selling ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Classic Comedy mixed with a whole lot of cheese. Great. (241 words)

This is one of those all time classic films, something that everyone has to see at least once. The late Chris Farley plays Tommy, who could be described as "special", however truth be told he's just a bit of an idiot. He inherits his father's auto parts business and is stuck with the job of saving the entire company from being sold off to Ray Zalinsky, played by Dan Aykroyd. Along with his slightly nerdy and pretty harsh work mate Richard (David Spade), they travel up and down the US as salesmen, resulting in some pretty hilarious antics. It's a really funny film, though parts of it are unbelievably cheesy, and slightly cringeworthy. ...  Read the complete review
