... stories are brilliant, and one thing I like is that is it doesn't always end in someone saving the day. Bad things can happen! I really enjoyed this series, but there are a few episodes in the middle that are a bit dull to me, they seem like filler episodes, but it builds again into a great season ending. I am totally hooked, and am always waiting for a new series. It has a nice blend of characters and there is a story for each episode, yet they all link and come together. Premium Review Torchwood: The Complete First Series (DVD): The Super-Sexy Doctor Who Spin-off Drama (595 words)

Torchwood: Guns, time travel, aliens, the supernatural , betrayal, love, interspecies sex, girl on girl action, man on man action and the occasional oddly arousing Welsh accent thrown in, and you have everything you could ever want to satisfy your deepest, most primal box-set desires! The spin-off from Dr Who is a delight for any adult who enjoys a bit of sci-fi fantasy. Actually, even if aliens aren't normally your thing, the clever story writing and intense character relationships supplies enough by itself for those not normally turned on by the prospect of an evening in filled with manning-up moments and gruesome deaths. Although a good knowledge of the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Welcome To Torchwood. (339 words)

The 21st century is when it all happens and Captain Jack Harkness and his team are arming the human race for the future. Created by Russell T Davies, Torchwood is a Science Fiction Series that's based in Cardiff. The show deals with extraterrestrial incidents as well as some home grown threats. At first I wasn't expecting much from Torchwood, as a life time Doctor Who fan, I felt that any spin off would be substandard. And as I expected I didn't really like the first two episodes of Torchwood but I stuck it out and before I knew what happened, I was hooked and left wanting to watch more. Torchwood has a certain quality about it, which I found ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Torchwood: The Complete First Series (DVD): Hello Torchwood, you rock! (407 words)

Sci- fi show, Torchwood originally shown on bbc created by Russell T Davies is a spin-off of Doctor who. It's target audience is suppose to be adults but I think it is more suited to teens however it still is good entertainment for adults too. It's themes are quite dark but can also be funny. Sometimes some episode or bits of an episode in Torchwood and the reasons for things happening in it may not be explained that good. I found I didn't seem to understand parts or get hidden messages until someone in the special features pointed it out. Torchwood may be a Sci-fi show dealing with aliens and things out of this world but it still manages ...  Read the complete review

Before i started watching Torchwood i took a look into Doctor who every once and a while. But i originally couldnt stand Doctor who, i hated the show, but when David tennatn entered the show i took a little more interest and found myself addicted. Then i found out about John Barrowman, now this was also a man i couldtn stand however through time i gave him another chance and now i adore him, e(nough so to go and meet him and the rest of the torchwood gang, hence pictured me with Kai owen on my profile) i absolutly loved torchwood from day one, it is an amazing show, much more of a darker edge then doctor who that i loved. There is a lot more action and ...  Read the complete review

When I first watched Torchwood, I was quite sceptical about it. I'm not a big Dr Who fan, I find it all a bit childish and predictable (shoot me down!) but I fell in love with Torchwood straight away!
