As each piece of machinery is introduced on the DVD my son tries to copy words such as 'Power Harrow' and 'Planter'. The name also appears on the screen. This is an amazing phenomenon. I can sit my 18 month son in front of this DVD and he is transfixed and absolutely fascinated. Tractor Ted grows potatoes is a 35 minute long DVD which shows you the entire process of growing potatoes with a heavy slant on the tractors and machinery to do this. The DVD is aimed at age 0-6 years (Nursery/Key Stage 1) and is very slow moving. It shows quite a lot of detail such as hitching a plough to a tractor and how potatoes are graded and washed.
