Advantages: Fabulous side effects

Disadvantages: Some confusing fighting scenes

Because of its great hit two years ago Transformers came back to the big screen with a more definite mission: to defend the Earth from the Fallen. So before going into the picture audience already know what they will have from story. Even there are going to be lots of confusing fighting scenes among robots and human, we know good guys are going to win.

Nevertheless, most of us went to see this movie not to know its ending but to find out what is in it. We want to see how a shining vehicle turns into a fabulous designed robot, how it fights and what jokes it makes. We are also well-informed that Megan Fox is deadly sexy in this movie that it will be a shame to miss her this time.

So I went to cinema with great excitement. I became fond of transformer robots since last movie. In my eyes, these robots which can talk, think and come to your rescue in danger are irresistably cute. I also want to see Megan Fox, to see how better she can play since last production.

After two and half hours, I was not disappointed but not greatly satisfied either. The effect from CGI for robots and fighting scenes are breath-taking. It is superb and no doubt a very strong team is behind it. I am very pleased with the way how Transformers changed their shape, how they fought each other, how they conversed, as well as how they displayed their characters. Again, they prove to be the best part of the movie.

However, there are some weakness in this sequel. Megan Fox is lethal and during the movie I could hear young boys in the cinema uttering sound of amazement. The story, unfortunately, does not give her much to act on. Another more unfortunate character is Sam's roommate, Leo. This character first appeared to be dragged into fighting against enemies, but in fact, most of his actions had no decisive importance towards the development of the story. This character is whether excessive or ignored.

The first part of the movie is fun to watch; while it comes to the second part, the arrangement of shoots for fighting scenes is not very flowing. The scenes jump from one to another without much logical link. We know the good are fighting the evil, but it is difficult to follow the story told in flash-light style.

To be strict, the basic story in the second Transformers is not inspiring. Megatron was back, acting under the Fallen's command to destroy Earth, during the process of which Sam and Autobats became annoying obstacles. And again, a 'key' thing had to be found in order to end the war. There is nothing new in content.

Although the second Transformers did not impress as much as the first one, I still look forward to the third production. Michael Bay and his team undoubtedly made those classic robots lively and popular on the big screen. And the performance of actors and actresses is excellent. The movie to some extant still worths my time and money.

Summary: The sequel is good but hardly creats any new idea.

Sorry but most of that makes very little sense in the English you use.
