Advantages: goood film, lots fo action
Disadvantages: not realistic
Transformers revenge of the fallen is the second film in the transformer series. This film follows from the first, and the autobots have formed a elite "hit squad", targeting and hunting down what is left of the decepticon presence on earth. But after a decepticon ambush, (not wanting to give to much away, but does everyone survive?), is all is as it seems?
This film introduces some new characters, such as a uni flatmate, and 5 new autobots (2 motobikes, an audi, and "twins").
I would say this film has less of a plot line compared to the first film, but, this film has more fight scenes, between the US army, decepticons, and autobots.
In order to make sense of this film, you really do need to have watched the first film, in order to understand all the different characters, and the roles that they play.
So who would like this film?
If you enjoy sci fi films, films with lots of action, or you just liked the transformer cartoons when you were little, you would love this film. One slight problem with this film is that the "transformations" don't "make sense" space wise. What i mean by this is that there is no "mechanism" for the transformations, and if you actually look carefully, you can see that some of the robots seem to get large when they transform, so its all done by the work of CGI, but somehow the makers of this film doesn't let that spoil the "realism" of the film. (I don't mean by this the film is realistic, i just mean that when you are watching it, it feels real).
As with the first, this film also has its fair share of funny moments, such as a little pet robot (i say pet, its actally a decepticon forced against its will), bumblebee messing about with Sam's life (shia la beouff), and Sam's mom buying "weed cakes" and eating them without even realizing!
