Advantages: ...
Disadvantages: Pretty much the entire movie.
I never really liked Transformers. The idea of a group of shapeshifting robots just seemed so.... "action man" sort of thing to me.
But anyway, last summer, I was convinced by a couple of my "robot fan" friends to go to the cinema, and fork up for this movie. "the last one was amazing," they said, "nothing like what you think at all," they said.
Well, they were wrong. Cheesey dialogue, cheesey plot, cheese-filled movie. Fight scenes were more than confusing. At the end, who was fighting who? It was pretty much impossible to tell the difference between the two sides.
Then there were other things. The movie itself didnt really make sense. Why are people shooting the robots when it was CLEAR that it didnt do any good? Why did the big one remain at the botom of the ocean for so long if it had been so easy to bust him out?
The recuring sounds of Greenday's Twenty-One guns (a song that I actually quite like) ran annoyingly throughout the movie. The humourous scenes were less than humerous, the serious scenes less than serious.
Im sorry to be so harsh, but honestly, I think it will be better to miss out on this "summer blockbuster". Your money could definately be better spent elsewhere.
Summary: AVOID
