Advantages: Great to keep some one quiet for an hour or two!
Disadvantages: It ends!
I think that this film is an all time great! I also think it was well ahead of its time because of the themes seen in it. The very controversial line " Oh sh** what are we gonna' do now?" rocked the world of cartoon lovers and moved us into a new generation of cartoons. The film is based around moving the original series on to a new level and I think it does this really well. It kills off some of the older characters and introduces a new set of characters. It begins with an opening scene of what's to come. Unicron, the "monster that devours planets" is seen eating a planet.A very successful opening! Then we get the narrator setting the scene and giving us a summary of the war raging between the Autobots and Decepticons. Not giving away too much to spoil the plot, after some brief introduction we then move on to the first battle scene where the decepticons attack Autobot city Earth. This is where we see the killing off of some old characters, including a fan favourite Optimus Prime! and Megatron who is reformed into a new form of Galvatron. We then see a few more battles, my favorite being the Autobots against the Junkion's. Very amusing combat between Wreck Gar and Springer! We then see the Autobots vs Unicron which also a well animated battle. I won't spoil it anymore for you. A soundtrack was also released with this film which was really good and the music really enhanced the quality of the film. I think that this was a very big steping stone between the fist two series and the third series, and it lead to a great Transformers empire of toys and cartoons!

peel.rebekah - 09.03.01 Welcome to dooyoo. Nice entrance but could you give us a bit more on the movie: Plot (or lack of it), characters etc. You'll get better ratings and more reads if you put a bit more detail in. Good Luck and have fun.
