Advantages: Great action, Good animation, Its Transformers!!!

Disadvantages: Poor soundtrack, may be too violent for really young kids

Transformers, the best toy of the 1980's and the best cartoon series of that decade and a series that I loved as a child.
You remember the Transformers?? Cars and tanks and all sorts of gadgets that changed into good robots (Autobots) and baddy robots (Decepticons).
Well, such a hit was the cartoon and toy market that they decided to make a big feature length movie and it was actually very good despite strange box office takings (very poor).
The story told that a huge monster planet called Unicron(voiced by Orson Welles) is on the rampage around the universe, destroying planet after planet and its heading towards the planet Cybertron,home of the Transformers.
A war is raging between the evil Decepticons led by Megatron, a violent and psycotic robot that will stop at nothing to destroy the heroic Autobots, led by the great Optimus Prime.
The movie is superb and highly entertaining as it has so much fun and action but it is a little bit violent for really little kids.
The movie also has an array of class acting talent to do the voices, people such as Judd Nelson, Eric Idle, Lenonard Neymoy(Dr.Spock), Frank Welker(a voice over ledgend in USA) & the late and great Orsen Welles.
I could go on all day at how good this cartoon is as the animation is superb for a 1986 movie and the characters are orginal and funny.
I cannot wait for the DVD version!!
