If you like your films to be non stop action without having any basis in reality the Transporter 2 is probably a good film for you. Oh and if you also like your killers to be dressed in La Senza underwear and running around dressed only in it in the middle of the day then you will also be impressed as well. This really is a film that seems to not give a damn to the lawsof physics especially when it comes to motor vehicles and to be honest it is too dumb for its own good. Frank Martin the ex special forces man who makes a living transporting goods (often live ones) from one place to another is back, played by the rather dishy and very buff Jason ... Overview and plot The swashbuckling ex Special Forces operative Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is back; this time in scenic Miami. He has now quit taking up high risk transportation assignments, involving robbers and the like, and is a private chauffeur, where he drives for a wealthy family, called the Billings family. Mr. Billings is a Senator who has launched a crusade against drug dealers. This has sent a chill down the spine of Columbian drug dealers in Miami. The movie begins with an excellently choreographed fight sequence, where a few thugs not knowing Frank’s capabilities, attempt to steal his beloved car. Before the fight starts, Frank takes off his ... Read the complete review

Is it just me or did anyone else watch the original? In it, Jason Statham played an ex-special forces soldier who now worked out of the French Riviera as a courier or transporter, no questions asked. He followed a strict set of rules - criteria that established him as a go-to man whenever you needed a highly-skilled driver- for a non-negotiable price. His number one rule was never open the package. The first film showed what happened when he broke his most important rule.... Well someone must have watched it because along comes The Transporter 2, now set in Miami, and Frank (aka Jason Statham) is back!!! A third film is also due out in cinemas on 5 December ... Directed by Louis Leterrier, this action packed sequel, sets out to grab its audience and take them into a world where violence, kidnapping and psychopathic women with barely any clothes on, are all part of the norm. Starring Jason Statham, Allesandro Gassman and Amber Valletta, to name but a few, this film is predicted to be a hit with both sexes, but is it really as good as its trailer says that it is? *** The Plot *** A rich family hire Frank Martin (Jason Statham), to chauffeur their young son Jack Billings, not knowing that he is usually used to transporting different types of goods rather than people. However, after taking Jack to what should ... Read the complete review

In film, there are some characters who just don't seem to be able to be 'taken care of'. We have been brought up in an establishment when more often than not, the good guy portrayed in a film, never seems to meet his maker, whoever is trying to stop him. I believe it happens this way for two main reasons. One being, you make a film to be liked, so you want the audience to be pleased with the production, and not emotionally devastated that their hero has just been chopped up into obliteration. Another reason, you want to leave open an opportunity for a sequel to be made, without having to re-invent a new character. For example, if Sir Ian Fleming had incorporated the ...
