I recieved this DVD from my parents for christmas and only just got around to watching it.

==The storyline==

Trick or treat is all about a kid called Eddie Weinbauer. He's a typical kid into rock music. At school he's a social outcast. Everyone else pushes him around. That is until he recieves a gift; an unreleased record from his recently deceased rock idol, Sammi Curr. When he plays the record backwards he gets messages from his dead hero. The messages tell him how to get back at everyone who pushed him around. After a while however, he realises that the record is evil and he is left to deal with something harder than bullys.

==My opinion==

As it was shot in 1986 it isn't going to have the best special effects however it doesn't need them. The story line is good enough without them. It's a simple idea but a lot of the enjoyment you can get out of this film is from seeing Eddie get back at everyone. He is someone that most people can relate too, myself esspecially. It is interesting and doesn't stretch out for too long. It features Gene Simmons and ozzy osbourne which makes the film even cooler. You don't have to be a fan of rock music to like this film.

==Summary==

I would reccomend this to anyone who is looking for a simple horror movie. For people who like horror but not gore then this is a good choice. It has a good storyline and although you probably will not watch it more than once, it is still very enjoyable.
