note: originally written for my University newspaper, The Rabbit It is a strange day that a box set of Troll and Troll 2 can be released and people will actually BUY it. This all stems from a number of Internet memes spoofing some of the hilariously bad moments of Troll 2, and as a result, a number of saps were probably lured into getting this set. The first film is an atrocious, almost straight-faced "horror" film, and whilst the second is even barely a spiritual successor, it is the unqualified reason to buy this set. This is not a good film. Its 3rd rate no/low budget slosh. Attack a sock with glue and googly eyes and the special effects are generally only a bit better. But this movie does have charm, and if you're after hilarious viewing and love films with poor dialog and card board sets you will be enchanted and enthralled. If not then the quality of the film will educe fatigue. After watching the first 5 minutes of this film I knew I had to watch the rest. This double feature DVD comprises of Troll and it's sequel Troll 2, both of which are reviewed separately below. Troll (Review) Meet Harry Potter and his family (not to be confused with the Harry Potter that goes to Hogwarts).
