Peter Burton and Tim Gerrity meet at college in a rather dramatic and amusing way. After a minor fender-bender, Burton verbally whips Gerrity for the benefit of the gathered crowd only to find that this is his roommate. Despite his justified anger, Gerrity takes a liking to Burton, and before we know it they are fast friends. Peter comes from a vastly different world than Tim though, and these differences are elements that have forged these two souls into drastically different people under the surface.
