Being a big fan of Clint Eastwood, I had to watch this film, regardless of the bad press it received. To be fair it's not his best film, but it's not a bad one. Clint plays an ageing reporter who is told to right a human interest story, by his boss (played by James Woods), on a black man sentenced to death for the murder of a mini-mart shopkeeper. In true Clint fashion he disobeys his boss, and starts to look into the case and discovers some irregularities, so he digs deeper and deeper to the detriment of his marriage and his job.
