Both of my children now adore this programme and at first although it seemed really annoying to me I have to admit it does seem to be really educational and quite simply worth being on the TV! My first impressions were "and these kids are meant to be 3???" and the fact that out of the 4 tweenies Bella was really the most annoying! Although my opinions not much different they must be doing something right as my kids and everyone elses that I know adore it! Theres lots of really useful activities that the tweenies get upto, including dancing to allsorts of nursery rhymes, my children definitely prefer copying the tweenies than their parents! ;) Theres ... My daughter is 14 months old and absolutely adores the Tweenies! And I must say I quite enjoy sittind down to watch it with her!!! There are 4 main characters in it - Bella, Mylo, Fizz and Jake, plus the dog Doodles and the 2 grown ups Judy and Max. The thing about this programme that I find so interesting is that they are so realistic, I can remember being not much older than them and having the same naive view of life and it is quite refreshing to listen to they're innocent opinions on things. They always begin the show with "songtime" where they will sing one of many of the nursery rhymes around. They dance and do the actions and ... Read the complete review

Is there any one out there with children under 5 that have not heard of the Tweenies? I suspect not, so I am going to waste your time explaining who they are. My daughters, Louise aged 3 ½ and Shannon who is nearly 1 ½ are Tweenies mad. (To tell you the truth so is my 7-year-old Nicole although you might not admit it to her friends!) We currently have three videos. Song Time, Song Time 2, and Ready to Play. The Song Time videos are by far their favourite. Shannon only has to hear the theme music to the Tweenies and she is jumping up and down all over the living room screeching in excitement. Louise’s favourite character is Bella who is ... My daughter is fast approaching four years old, and my wife and I have had to suffer through the Teletubbies, so when the BBC originally launched the Tweenies we were filled with dread. How refreshing! This childrens program was filled with characters that could actually talk (even Doodles 'talks' better than the Teletubbies). There is also a lot of educational content woven into the stories, as well as songs. They even argue amongst themselves over who's taller, better etc. I like the Tweenies and rate them higher than any childs program than I can remember. Because of the Tweenies my daughter now goes to ballet, understands that it's not good to ... Read the complete review

Now I think its me I bought this video for not Jack. I love the Tweenies and as Jack is only 8.5 months old its going to be me singing along not him. I have noticed that whenever the Tweenies are on BBC Choice, Jack stops whatever he is doing and watches the TV for a few minutes. Its a great kids programme, So I thought that the video would be a good investment. The Tweenies which are Milo, Jake (looks like my Jack), Bella, Fizz and not forgetting Doodles (The dog) Max and Judy (Who I think are playgroup leaders ??) They enact out real and imaginary situations which can be anything from learing to tell the truth, to learing how to make things and telling the ... Read the complete review
