It's true what they say, films go straight to Video/DVD for a reason. Just recently it seems I've been watching a lot of these sorts of films. The latest being Ashley Judd's latest straight to failure Twisted. I'm assuming it didn't make it as far as our cinema screens by the fact I'd never heard of it. It does however star Samuel L Jackson and that swung my decision to watch it. It had to at least be half way decent surely? The plot is a pretty simple Cop thriller type of affair. This 2004 movie is directed by Philip Kaufman and stars a host of A list actors. It is a crime thriller involving the case of a killer who seems to be targeting the life of newly promoted homocide detective Jessica Shepard. The movie stars Ashley Judd in the main role with supporting roles from Samuel L. Jackson and Andy Garcia. I have always been impressed by Ashley Judd and I believe her to be one of the best actresses in Hollywood today. Whilst she doesn't dissapoint in giving a passionate and honest performance, the character she plays raises feelings of ambivilance in me.
