Advantages: Great FX!
Disadvantages: Politically incorrect
Okay, the film had me stuck to my seat all the way through. Okay, the sound effects were good, with the film makers incoporating amazing sound effects as if you were in the submarine with depth charges being dropped on you. However, using Jon Bon Jovi to promote the film isn't a good idea. How many lines did he get? Also, the Americans really find the decoder or is this another snitch by the Americans from the Brits? Notice at the end of the film, just before the credits, the grudgingly note that one British vessel aided the capture of a decoder to Americas 3. Excellent plot and great acting! If you love intense, seat wetting drama, WATCH THIS. If you are a knit-picker, stay well clear - you-ll tear your hair out!

- 30/10/01 You reach some generally good conclusions here, but there is too little information for a VU rating. Also, the end credits honor 2 British achievements (as opposed to 1 American) in the Enigma campaign, rather than the 1-3 scoreline you implied; though I realize this is an easy mistake to make if you have only watched the movie once. |

- 08/05/01 My 11 year old son had the same opinion as you; on the other hand I relaxed a little as the plot took 0 turns was soo predictable |
