This DVD is only for long time fans of the UFC, looking to pick up a piece of history. If you're new to the sport, UFC 43 is not for you! The majority of fighters on here are no longer in the sport at the top level, and you should pick up a more recent UFC event to see where the sport is today (we're currently on 91). For long-time fans, this DVD is a real mix. First off, the main event is Randy vs Chuck 1 - the first fight of the biggest triolgoy in MMA history. It's a great fight, much better than the two that followed. The other fighters on the card include Tank Abbot. It's a sign of how far the UFC has come that guys like this don't get in ... Now many people look at mixed martial arts as just 'cage fighting' or 'human cock fightin', a barbaric sport with no holds barred in which great injury and brutal beat downs are inflicted upon people. This couldnt be more further from the truth. Yes these types of fights are held in a cage, but when they are held traditional boxing rings competitiors end up falling through the ropes when grappling, the fights are constantly stopped and started due to the ropes, while the cage offers continuous action and no danger of falling out.
