Advantages: Great Story/ Good Twist
Disadvantages: Takes A While To Get Into
Another thriller chiller in the same kind of vein as Sixth Sense. This time Bruce Willis is the only Survivor of a horrifying train crash who is befriended by the owner of a comic store (Samuel L. Jackson). The character played by Samuel L. Jackson has brittle bone disease. He tries to convince Bruce that he must have special powers to have come out of the train accident without a scratch and he gets Bruce to realise these powers. Bruce is in denial for most of the picture but he works out that he is not a normal human being and turns into a crime fighter, stopping a serial murderer. The twist of the story comes at the end when Bruce meets up with the Comic store owner at a open day at his studio. I won't spoil it for you but like Sixth Sense it will make you want to watch the film again. It has elements of Sixth Sense and X Men linked together to make an absorbing story.

- 07/06/01 I loathed this film, it was slow, the twist was even more predictable than the sixth sense (which I liked) and the script was laughable. The worst film I saw last year. |
