Undercover Brother arrives in UK cinemas today hoping to lay down some soul on cinema goers. Let's get one thing straight, this is one silly movie but at times it's one funny movie. The film takes it's idea from what started as an internet series, it also borrows heavily from blaxplotation flicks as well as other spy spoofs. The basic premise behind Undercover Brother isn't new, but surprisingly fresh and under-used when you consider the wealth of source material there is for a movie like this to parody. It's a spoof of the blaxploitation movies which riddled the 70s and early 80s which so far as I'm aware has only been done before to any real extent in the equally entertaining "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka!" although it's not quite as intelligent as this one in the manipulation of its's source material.
