Underdog is a Disney film telling the story of a beagle dog who works as a sniffer dog detecting bombs. However his career comes to an abrupt ending when he is made a laughing stock after launching a full scale bomb alert for the bomb disposal team to discover all that was there was a ham. Underdog is (another) a film about a talking dog there are loads of these and I felt this one was the worse one so far. The dogs voice is done by the chap who is Earl in my friend is Earl, which was not a good start for me because I find his voice very irritating. I recently bought Underdog on DVD for my son to watch primarily as it looked fun and interesting and Walt Disney movies are normally very good and high quality. It's a rather silly and original idea, but to be honest with you it's not supposed to be serious as it is a kid's movie. We've all seen Superman and the famous line: Is it a bird? Is it a plane? This movie is great, the script is very funny and the cast does a great job. In the film, underdog is the joke of the police force after he destroys a public ceremony. He then gets picked for an science experiment but escapes with super strength. Choas arises but what will underdog get up to? The cast does a great job and deliver the jokes. The script carrys the film and will make you laugh all the way through. I had to rewind some spots as I missed them. The picture and sound quality is good.
