This is quite possibly the saddest and most poignant start to a film ever. Its simplicity was breathtaking. The less is more approach worked on so many levels. It was down to the viewer to allocate the appropriate emotional response to the simple imagery used and boy did this approach work. My ten year old daughter was in tears within the first ... This is a film only review. I had read good things about this cartoon and really enjoyed all the other Pixar productions I had seen (I still need to see Cars, Ratatouille and WALL-E) so when a friend suggested we see "Up", I jumped at the chance. I went to see it in 3D which cost a bit more and required the compulsory use ... Read the complete review

My 5 year old son and I went to catch this at the cinema this afternoon. It was the last day it was showing, and he has been asking for a while, and it seemed a nice thing to do on a cold and rainy November Sunday afternoon. I couldn't have been happier we went. The film opened with an animated short about storks delivering babies (not ... Read the complete review

I was not at all fussed about seeing this film, the trailers didn't inspire me and I had no desire to see a film about an old man and a house with some balloons. Then the reviews began to filter out and they seemed good. It also received an outstanding endorsement from my younger sisters who promptly informed me "I was clearly not ... Read the complete review

I've watched this film three times and I have to say that I think it's one of the best animations that I have seen to date. Unfortunately life seems ... Read the complete review
