Advantages: Decent cast, quite well acted

Disadvantages: Formulaic story, predictable ending

This one almost has a twist in the story! All the deaths are realted to various Urban Legends, that pass through communites from time to time, but hardly ever happen!

Of course, that's not the case in this film, where the Heroine is having her friends killed off one by one, by a mysterious figure in a parka jacket and a balaclava. Obviously this isn't the best state of affairs, especially as no one believes her that one of the victims is dead... etc... etc... real killer please step forward, and then get caught out!

It's all pretty formulaic stuff, but fortunately the cast seem to be enjoying themselves afair bit, and there's a couple of reasonably big stars in the mix, including Josh Jackson of "Dawson's Creek" fame, leading to some clever injokes in the film. It's not upto Scream's standards, but it's not a complete waste of time either, just a fairly watchable, if unsurprising film.. of ocurse it's sequel arrives soon, so we'll have to see if the old sequels are worse than the first one adage still holds up.. I'd bet yes!
