V was the programme I loved most when i was at school....mostly because it was on late at night and sometimes...just sometimes I was allowed to stay up late and watch it! There is talk of a remake of V, but I think that would be a shame...part of the charm for this series was the lame special effects. The story is a simple one...Alien 'visitors' who, although they have travelled millions of miles look just like us, arrive on Earth and ask for our help, which we naturally give them (but only after most of the army and the leaders of the world have either been captured or brain washed!). So where did indapendance day get the idea from!? Huge spaceships each 3 miles wide enter the atmosphere and hover over the worlds major cities. When contact is made between humankind and the Et's, The aliens declare they are only here for resources to help their dying planet. But these aliens bring with them a secret.
