Valiant review Valiant is a CGI animated comedy film by Vanguard Animation and produced by the people who bought us shrek 1, 2&3 and is no surprise to say the effects are out standing especially with the fast pace of the film. Set in 1944, Valiant is a film about homing pigeons during World War Two. Valiant (voiced by Ewan McGregor) is a woodland pigeon who wants to become a hero someday after seeing pigeons recruiting for the Royal Homing Pigeon Service. He sets out for London and meets a smelly but friendly pigeon named Bugsy (voiced by Ricky Gervais) who comes along with him to training where they meet the rest of their team, named Squad F.
