I bought the Redemption video of this title from a sale in a rental shop, wondering if I'd taken leave of my senses. At that point I'd seen nine Jess Franco films--all of the first Anchor Bay box (which I'd found half-entertaining but the stand out seemed to be the bizarre and amusing 'Blue Rita') and 'Justine' (which had impressed me with some Fellini-worthy scenes but seemed a little lacking somehow...)--but was yet to be convinced that he was a hugely interesting film-maker. Why on earth was I going to persevere this for the tenth time? The bargain bin price probably had a lot to do with it.
