Without beng an expert on paleontology, the series goes right from the emrgence of the early dinosaurs through to their extinction (was it an asteroid, aliens or did they just hop off the mortal coil at about the same time because they felt like it?) The attention to detail in the production and editing is excellent, right through to trying to get similar fauna in the foreground and scenery in the background to try (as far as possible) to recreate what we think it was like millions of years ago. OK: how did they manage to do this? All that CGI nonsense is way beyond me: I struggle to programme a video (yes I've still got one) without my blood pressure going throught the roof. This really is a top programme: excellently put together and featuring the legend that is David Attenborough, Walking with Dinosaurs is put together like one of David's wildlife programmes rather than a standard digging and fossil finding exercise of the type that comes up on Discovery or BBC4.
