Bringing back the magic of Disney (Wall-E (Blu-ray))

Advantages: The film is one of Pixars best (maybe THE best) and the visuals on the Blu-ray will blow you away.

Disadvantages: Noope.

The Film

I first watched Wall-E in the cinema, not quite knowing what to expect. As it was Pixar, I was pretty sure it was going to be appealing to all ages, and I was right. Pixar always does an amazing job of providing entertainment for all ages and this one definitely doesn't disappoint. In my opinion, this could well be one of Pixar's greatest achievements. I never thought I'd actually say this but... I think it could top Toy Story. The story of friendship and love, mixed with futuristic adventure makes this film one of a kind. The way the film is directed and put together is so much better than you'd expect from a film of it's kind. The first third of the film contains pretty much no talking whatsoever and relies completely on visuals. In that respect, the rest of the film doesn't have a huge amount of dialogue either, leaving you to be immersed in the magic of Disney - and that's something I havn't seen in a long time. I'd say this is probably one of the 'cutest' films you'll see in quite a while too, meaning it'd go down well for a night in with the girlfriend or a first date (or alternatively to shut the kids up for a bit). I'd recommend this film to anyone who still hasn't seen it, it's not one to be missed. I'd give this one a well deserved 10/10.

The Blu-ray (viewed on full HD Projector)

Well it goes without saying, Pixar know how to make an impressive Blu-ray and this one doesn't disappoint. The visuals on this film are some of the best I've ever seen. The colours are deep and bright, the picture is sharp and there is no visible grain whatsoever. All I can say really is that the picture is perfect and probably THE best film for showing off a Blu-ray player or HD TV. For the Blu-ray, 10/10.

For Parents: Suitable for all children.
