Wall-E - A good film for all ages (Wall-E (DVD))

Advantages: great story, unique story, good animation

Disadvantages: people don't like how long it takes to hear talking

Disney pixars Wall-E is a really enjoyable film that is different to any other film I have ever seen. Disney pixar have made over the years some of the best animation around and they decided to do so aqgain with Wall-E. The film is for people of all ages from little tiny children to full grown adults. In the film there is enough excitement to keep everyone amused so this is why I think the film is a great family film to watch on a saturday night with a bag of popcorn. If you have kids then they will enjoy the film but even if you don't then the you will enjoy the film too.

Basic outline of the story

The story basically revolves around a friendly robot called Wall-E. The film begins with it telling you that humans left Earth and flew into space. It then shows you whats left of the planet after humans left and the state we left it in. The planet is in ruins. All signs of life on the planet are dead apart from Wall-E and a little cockroach. Everything goes along nicely, Wall-E keeps himself working by having all the parts that make him in a little house he uses ready if something goes wrong. One day however a spaceship lands and another robot flys out. This time however the robot isn't friendly and trys to hurt Wall-E. After a while though the robots become friends and begin to like each other. The other robots name is Eva.
Then the spaceship takes both Eva and Wall-E to a big mother ship in space. This is what humans have been living on for centuries, they do this as they believe they can't survive on earth as they think there is no oxygen. On this spaceship they get everything done for them so they don't walk anywhere they have futuristic hoverseat thing that flys them around everywhere. Instead of actually playing golf they have a robot that does it for them. This leads to everyone being really fat and big. The film also revolves around a plant that Wall-E found and carries with him. Humans believe there is no way they can live on earth but if there is a plant growing on earth then they can do.

The story is a very good thought out story that has a good meaning. At first you think that the film looks at a bit pants as there is no actual talking for quite a while but don't worry there is and it gets alot better. The film itself is very well made with great animation and sound. I wouldn't expect any different from a disney pixar film.
