Nick Park is one of the true icons of the 1990s. After emerging with Aardman Animations as the brains behind the Creature Comforts advert series, Park was given the time and support to realise his dream of making a Northern inventor with big teeth, a green pullover and a canine sidekick with witty eyebrows a leader of fashion. Wallace and Gromit became huge hits following their first outing, A Grand Day Out, but it was the follow up, The Wrong Trousers, which really cemented their supremacy. A Grand Day Out had been half formed and rough around the edges, a nice idea but not perfectly realised, but with The Wrong Trousers all the blemishes were resolved and ... Read the complete review

Produced in 1993 by the famous Nick Park and the folks at Bristol based Aardman Animations (remember the Electricity Board adverts?) this is a classic among animations, and the best use of plasticine since Morph took our mind off the fact that we hadn't made it into the Gallery again....It's Oscar winning, it's cute, harmless fun and you can watch it time and again. Hope you enjoy the review... **the plot** Wallace (cardigan loving, inventing cheese lover) and his dog Gromit (silent, but otherwise quite human) are having financial troubles which they try to solve by taking in a lodger. Trouble is this seemingly innocent small penguin ... Read the complete review

This review was originally written by myself, here: www.fritzlfan.wordpress.com The second short film from Nick Park, revolving around the characters Wallace (the owner of a dog) and Gromit (the dog of an owner), is a film which he has yet to surpass. As always, the film is about a character who Wallace allows into his life that turns out to be a rather sinister fellow. Indeed, young Gromit has his suspicions over the character - in this case, a penguin going by the name of Feather McGraw. He is an experienced and devious criminal who uses Wallace to his advantage so that he can steal a prestigious diamond from the local museum. It is Feathers ... Read the complete review

Wallace and Gromit are the sort of thing you either love or hate, and I have to say that I love them. This short film is a British animation made from clay, that features a hapless inventor and his silent dog who are taken for a ride by a criminal penguin who uses Wallace to take part in a robbery against his will. Of all the Wallace and Gromit films I feel this one is surely the best; the storyline is so inventive and fast paced, along with being funny, that I think it can be enjoyed by literally anyone who watches it. The characters are bizarre and lovable, and longterms fans will not fail to see how much the characters of both Wallace ... Read the complete review

So, it's 1993 and we are already fed up of A Grand Day Out. Along comes the Oscar winning film THE WRONG TROUSERS. It's Gromit's birthday and he is up long before Wallace, expecting a birthday card and present . He only gets one card in the post and, surprisingly, it's from Wallace. We all know who Wallace is, the eccentric inventor who wants to make life easier with his madcap inventions. This time, he has invented a machine to get him up, dress him and make his breakfast. At this point, comes the much loved speech 'Cracking Toast, Gromit!'. He tries to keep his 'presents' a surprise but it accidently slips out. ... Read the complete review
