Advantages: Great effects and car chases

Disadvantages: Angelina needs to say more!

On New Years Day I was hung over and my friend suggested that we watch this film as he is a James McAvoy fan. I indulged him although I was slightly concerned because the last time I had seen him in a film it was as an Elf (He played Mr. Tumnus in the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe). I was surprised that at the end of the film I found that I had actually enjoyed it a great deal. The idea of a secret society of assassins making the world a better place by a giant carpet weaving machine was a bit daft, but the special effects and high octane action were great and fun to watch. James M plays the role of bored man to king of the assassins well and there are some great sub plots running throughout the film also. Morgan Freeman doesnt shine in it though and Angelina doesnt say much either...she pouts a lot and shoots things, but words are few and far between. Parts of the film really reminded me of Trainspotting..the whole choose life concept in particular was great. The film assembles a fine cast and has an interesting ending too. The train scene is brilliant and a really good bit of action. I would recommend that you watch this film with others who like James M and also watch his other films at the same time. i did this and it helped me to appreciate him more as an actor. i particularly would recommend the last king of Scotland.

Summary: Shoot em up, heal yourself and do it all again!
