Advantages: Lopez is not bad

Disadvantages: Weak script

This is a rather poor romantic comedy that stars Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey in the two lead roles. Lopez plays Mary Fiore a Wedding Planner who is based in San Francisco and is excellent at her job. She however falls in love with McConaughey character Steve Edison the only problem is she is the one organising his wedding to an internet tycoon played by Bridgette Wilson.

This plot has been done to death and this film is very predicatble all the way through, it is saved from being a total turkey by the fact that actually Lopez is not bad in a comedy role and McConaughey is a polished performer howeer neither is given much to work with having been left with a rather limp insipid script and a supporting cast that does not really rise to the challenge.

This is best described a a light hearted romp that just fails to deliver enough laughs to make it really watchable, it needed a sligtly more darker feel to the film or a truly obnoxious character to give the whole thing a bit of bite however sadly it failed on both counts and hence only gets two stars from me.
