As i love girly films and chick flicks (much to my boyfriends disappointment!) i thought i would carry on with a review about another great film that i have seen several times.

Jennifer Lopez is in this film and i have never really warmed to her much as an actress but i think that she pulls the role of well in this film.

If you have never heard of The Wedding Planner, it is a popcorn style girly romantic comedy that came to our screens in 2001. If you think of the type of film where you are swept of your feet by a handsome man, this is it!

The film also stars the gorgeous Matthew McConaughey alongside Jennifer Lopez. The film is directed by Adam Shankman and the running time is 103 minutes long.

The story centres around character Mary who works as a very well established and talented wedding planner. She hasnt had a man in her life for a while and is a bit of a workaholic.

While out one day in the street, she has an accident and passes out. She is saved by Dr Steve Edison and taken back to his paediatric clinic to rest.

Mary goes to the park with him to see an old movie and they end up dancing and almost kiss.

After feeling like she could fall for him, Mary then realises that he is in fact the husband to be of one of her huge clients Fran!

Will Mary be able to do her job and ignore her feelings for Steve or will everything go crazy and she will end up together with him?

I wont give away too much more of the story incase i ruin it for you but i have to say that i loved this film, i thought it was great. I am a complete sucker for romance and films like this just completely absorb me.

Jennifer Lopez played the role of Mary a lot more convincingly than i was expecting her to and Matthew McConaughey (who may be the most beautiful man ever) was just amazing to watch. The two had a great believeable on screen chemistry.

Some parts of the film were a little predictable and far fetched but i didnt care as i got caught up in the whole romance of it all.

This is a real feel good comedy that left me with a lovely warm feeling after i had watched it. Great for a girls night in with a big bowl of popcorn!

I would definitely recommend this film to fans of the romantic genre. You can buy the dvd of The Wedding Planner for only £4.88 at the moment from Amazon which is a bargain!
