Advantages: Excellent music and story

Disadvantages: Makes me feel old now!

Wayne's World - Wayne's World, party on, excellent! And it was - excellent that is, until you watch it again and again on movie channels and realise that the first time you watched it you were still in high school and not 26 years old, nearly 27 and have two babies!

This film epitimised (probably spelt wrong) everything about my 'yoof' - listening to rock music, alien language etc.

Mike Myers and Dana Carvey (?? probably spelt wrong again) are excellent as Wayne and Garth, who host their own cable show. Tia Carrerr made her name as Cassandra, the hot rock chick that becomes Waynes girlfriend and Rob Lowe as the totally up-himself know all that we all loved to hate.

Wayne and Garth get signed to mainstream tv and get their show sponsored. But things start to go dreadfully wrong for Wayne; he faces losing his best friend, his show and his girl. Will things work out? What will he do? Will Cassandra get her record deal and will there be a happy ending?

The soundtrack to this film is brilliant - who hasn't gone out to the local rock club with all your mates piled in the back of the car with Bohemian Rhapsody playing? Or dreamed of being backstage at an Alice Cooper gig?

There are also some quite comic moments - like the scene where Wayne opens a door to find a load of people training 'to be in James Bond films', and the bit where Wayne's annoying ex-girlfriend cycles into the car. The dog dressed in studded leather bands and a spiky hair doo is also quite amusing.

I always find it difficult to do a film opinion without giving too much away in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, but if you're after a reminiscint giggle on how things were, it's worth alook.

The only downside to this film is, like I say, when you can remember still being at school/college when this first came out! God, I'm getting old. Time for an early night and mug of cocoa!

Hi there - I'm afraid I agree with lordpercy on this one - if you update, you can find my email address on my profile page, and I'll come back and re-rate if necessary.

Lord Percy - thanks for your comments, but apart from giving an over-view of the film, I don't like to spoil it for those who haven't already seen it - if, indeed, there is anyone on the planet who hasn't seen it yet they must have been living in a sealed biscuit tin.

Sorry to rate SU but apart from your memories of when this film came out you don't really give much detail on the story, acting, suitability for young audiences etc....

Its great to hear your thoughts on the film but for anyone reading this who hasn't seen it they would still be a bit in the dark.... If you update let me know and I'll re rate!
