Can you believe Wayne's World came out in 1992! Thats 17 years ago! Wow, I feel old. This is a really great comedy that took the world be storm in the early 90's. Wayne's World is a crazy American comedy directed by Penelope Spheeris. The films stars Dana Carvey and Mike Myers, this is really the film that launched Myers' career and made him ... note: also appears in part on Flixster and The Student Room Wayne's World is a wild and hilarious film that spawned from the successful skit on Saturday Night Live. With iconic performances, great music, and a rowdy sense of silliness, this is a comedy classic from the 90s and extremely rewatchable. Wayne Campbell (Mike ... Read the complete review

I know this is an ancient film, but while looking through Sky Anytime, the tv on demand kind of thing on Sky+ and Sky HD boxes I saw they had this. I have watched this film loads of times years ago, and thought it was funny then, but would it be any good now - 17 years after it was made? This film is a comedy and mostly features the 2 ... Wayne's World is a comedy starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey and is inspired by the "Wayne's World" skits that Myers and Carvey used to do on "Saturday Night Live". Myers and Carvey play Wayne and Garth, two slacker friends who run a TV show out of Wayne's parents' house, which Wayne still lives at. They mainly just ... Read the complete review

This has to be one of my favourite comedy films as it is absolutely hilarious. This is a film from the days when Mike Myers was actually funny and able to deliver a comic performance that was original and intelligent rather than the bottom and poo style jokes that his comedy has ended up being with films that just do not give me any desire to go ... This is an early Mike Myers film and certainly has its funny parts with the stand out moment for me being the scene in the car with the music of Bohemian Rapsody playing and the four head bangers doing the vocals, the cut away shot of the car and the penultimate music change takes place is pure genius. Cast List Mike Myers ... Read the complete review

If you see some of his current output and come to the conclusion that Mike Myers cannot possibly be funny then I would be able to understand and, to a certain extent, agree with you. But he is one of these bizarre individuals who is able to make you laugh when he is not up his own backside and pandering to himself with in jokes that only he finds ... Read the complete review

Often a film aimed at the teenage market is lame, dumb and obvious. Waynes World succeeds partly because it can address those prerequisite requirements but also succeed because it is witty, clever and hysterically funny. It manages to be part of the teenage film genre whilst also being a spoof of it. The film is very simple in its format. It ... Read the complete review

In the US there is a Saturday Night TV tradition known as Saturday Night Live. It's a topical comedy sketch show with guest hosts and guest stars. Over the years it has launched the careers of many stars such as Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Chevy Chase, Eddie Murphy, John Belushi.... the list goes on. Characters from the show have gone on to have ... Read the complete review

Mike Myers is a genius! I saw this back in 1992 at the cinema and I couldn't stop laughing. It really appeals to most peoples sense of humour. Wayne and Garth are the ultimate dudes. Best bits to look out for are Garth's "Foxy Lady" routine, Stacey riding her bike into the stationary car, Wayne's "prompt" cards ... Read the complete review

You will laugh, you will cry you will hurl. And you should never take this film seriously. Critical Appreciation is for Sphincter Boys. But this film takes general spoofery to an absolute maximum as only Mike Myers and Dana Carvey know how. Yeah sure they throw in a bit of a plot, but it's all tongue fully wedged in that cheek (no not butt ... Read the complete review

My favourite film of all time, "Wayne's World" is easily accessible to the general public while also instigating a cult of its own. The rock-orientated comedy (spawned from a series of very popular Saturday Night Live sketches by Mike Myers) stars Mike Myers ("Austin Powers") as Wayne Campbell, and Dana Carvey as his best ... Just one of the many witty jokes crammed into this often underrated film. This line is used when Wayne is ordering Chinese take-out. Mike Myers plays Wayne Campbell, an ordinary guy living in Aurora. He hosts an "excellent" local TV show called Wayne's World with his best friend, Garth Algar (Dana Carvery). Wayne happens to meet ... Read the complete review

I like comedy. Despite making me laugh, it creates a unique air of happiness that is unrivalled by all other forms of entertainment. So, logically, something that makes me laugh a lot consistently, is likely to get a big tick in the Ian Book of Good Things. And that, of course, is always good. You'll be quite pleased to know that ... Read the complete review

Wayne's World - Wayne's World, party on, excellent! And it was - excellent that is, until you watch it again and again on movie channels and realise that the first time you watched it you were still in high school and not 26 years old, nearly 27 and have two babies! I have been quoting from this film since that fateful day in 1992 when I saw it whilst on holiday in the states. I suppose I should really be on about this film, being as it features adults playing teenagers again, but hey, it’s just so funny, I’m going to let this one slide. The film grew out of a skit performed on the ... Read the complete review

Party on...just one of the catchphrases used by Wayne and Garth - the stasr of the show. The 2 guys have their own basement TV show and it is just great. Things take off though and they are spotted by an executive played by Rob Lowe..slimy creepy character who tries to take Wayne's gorgeous girlfriend away from him. He also tries to rip off ... As humorous as Austin Powers may be, "Waynes World" is Mike Myers' best creation to date. It has to be one of the best comedies of the 90s, and wipes the floor with its rival "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure". It still remains one of my favourite films to date, and is one of the best comedies of the 90s. It also ... Read the complete review
