When I first saw Wedding Daze advertising on the television , I thought it was another American Pie film , because it starred Jason Biggs. I then went around telling my friends that I was excited about seeing the new American Pie film , only to be told it wasn't. I never did go to the cinema to see it , but put the film down on my "To buy Dvds" list , but again I didn't get it. So the other week , when I'd ran out of dvds to watch I went and had a look through my sisters dvd collection , and saw sitting there on the shelf ; Wedding Daze. I picked the dvd up and put it on to watch. First of all , let me give you a bit of information about the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Left me rather Dazed (824 words)

On yet another library haul, I decided I wanted a nice film to watch in the afternoon for myself after my Open University exam had finished last week. I saw this on the bottom shelf tucked away, and as a bit of a fan of Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher, I thought it looked quite funny and so I decided to try it. I read the back and thought the plot looked a bit strange but I was willing to try and so I did. Oh dear, how I wish I hadn't. Anderson is totally in love with his girlfriend Vanessa, so much so that he decides to dress as Cupid and propose. But it doesn't go to plan when she collapses and dies just as he's proposed. Anderson doesn't date for a long while ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wedding Daze [2006] (DVD): 'Of course I'll marry you! Wait...what's your name?' (608 words)

I love romantic comedies, and almost any film about weddings, as you may have worked out from my reviews on 27 Dresses and What Happens in Vegas. So just the title of Wedding Daze had me excited, and I was hoping that there would be lots of lovely slushy moments and beautiful wedding outfits. That wasn't exactly the case, but I enjoyed the film anyway. The plot is very simple, and like most romantic comedies it's pretty predictable. Anderson (Jason Biggs) is a generally nice guy. The beginning of the film shows him proposing to his girlfriend, but unfortunately she drops dead immediately, due to a heart defect (this isn't a spoiler as it's on the back of the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wedding daze left me dazed and unsure of my opinion of it. (856 words)

JASON BIGGS Jason who you may remember from the American pie films is in my opinion a very good actor he can bring a lot of laughs too a film. In this one he plays the role of a man called Anderson who is very romantic and who is totally in love with his girlfriend. When he proposes to her he dresses up in a rather revealing and ridiculous looking cupid outfit and does so in a restaurant. Unbeknown to him she is inside the restaurant falling in love with a waiter shes only just laid eyes on, while hes outside with his friend preparing his proposal. I didn't understand why she croaked it when he proposed, people get proposed to all the time and don't ...  Read the complete review

Wedding Daze is a new film from Michael Ian Black (also known for his work on Run Fat Boy Run, The Bogus Witch Project, Reno 911 and more) and is a comedy about finding love and letting go. Anderson (Jason Biggs) plans to propose to his girlfriend in a way that will probably make you want to look at the TV through your hands in sheer embarresment. All doesn't go to plan though as, before answering, his girlfriend collpases and dies due to a heart problem. This send Anderson into a world of self destruction and self pity until finally his friend tells him enough is enough and it's time to move on. The message however doesn't seem to hit ...  Read the complete review
