Weeds is one of Showtime's flagship TV programmes, along with the likes of Dexter and The L Word. It is insanely original, and very quirky, although not in an inane way that wants you to vomit - i.e. Juno - this is more clever quirky, and as a result we get one of the best dramedies of the current TV period. The show revolves around Nancy Botwin (Mary Louise-Parker), a suburban housewife who is forced to become a weed dealer when her husband (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) dies suddenly of a heart attack, in order that she can support her children Silas and Shane. If you're already looking at a review of Weeds Season Three - the chances are you know that this programme is quirky California suburb based show where an upper middle class woman is driven to drug dealing to maintain her families wealthy lifestyle. The beginning of this series runs over from Series 2, so many of the story lines are still in tact. In true Weeds fashion, Series 3 is heavier than Series 2 with numerous bad asses playing a part from the gun wielding U-turn and his tubby hillarious side-kick through to a biker gang and a Mexican gangster.
